Anca Gurzu is Cipher’s chief Europe correspondent, based in Brussels, Belgium. She is a climate and energy journalist with 15 years of reporting experience spanning two continents.
Prior to joining Cipher in 2022, Anca spent almost 10 years covering the European Union’s energy transition, five of which were with POLITICO Europe. Anca completed a fellowship in business journalism at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business in 2019. Anca also holds a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and Master’s degree in European, Russian and Eurasian studies from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
