August Hu Samie holds a Ph.D. in Eurasian and Islamic Studies from the University of Chicago (2020). He is Professor of Ethnic Studies at Ohlone College, Fremont. His areas of expertise include Islamic civilizations, Soviet and communist ideologies, nationalism, Asian American Studies, and Queer and minority rights.
