Heatstroke is caused by continuous exposure to high temperatures, leading to an extreme elevation of body temperature and the inability to cool down. The condition can be further divided into two classes: nonexertional (classic), brought on by exposure to hot and humid weather, and exertional, attributed to doing strenuous activity in hot weather.
