The San Fermin Festival (July 6−14) is an annual event held in Pamplona, Spain, to honor the city’s first bishop and patron saint. The fiesta’s best-known event is the running of the bulls, or the encierro, where bulls are run through the streets to the bullring. The event takes place each morning from July 7 to July 14. In addition to the bull run, the celebration includes daily bullfights, parties, spontaneous gatherings, and religious celebrations.
