Others criticized the movie for choosing not to directly depict the suffering of Japanese victims of the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and for not mentioning the Indigenous and Hispanic people whose land was dispossessed to construct the Los Alamos Laboratory and who suffered ill health effects from nuclear fallout.
