Michael Kerrigan has written many books, including volumes on Greece and the Mediterranean and Rome for the BBC Ancient Civilizations series and Ancients in their Own Words (2009). Coauthor of The Reader's Digest Illustrated History of the World, he was also a contributor to War (2009). His work appears in Encyclopaedia Britannica as part of a joint publishing agreement with the publisher of 1001 Battles That Changed the Course of History, where the work originally appeared.
