Fred Frommer is a sports historian, author, and writer who has written for a host of national publications. A frequent contributor to The Washington Post, his byline has also appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, Politico Magazine, CNN.com, Smithsonian Magazine, and Sports Business Journal. He is the author of several books on sports.

Fred had a 16-year career at The Associated Press, where he created a groundbreaking beat on the intersection of sports and politics. Fred is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and earned a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and two sons.
