Katie Angell is an Associate Editor at Encyclopedia Britannica, where she covers a broad range of topics related to Latin America, with a particular focus on Latin American politics, Indigenous peoples, regional history, and economics. She holds an MA in Latin American Studies from Vanderbilt University and an MA in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh, where she is also completing her PhD in Political Science.
