Lake Hefner
Lake Hefner, storage reservoir in northwestern Oklahoma City, U.S., that supplies domestic water to the metropolitan area. Completed in 1947, it is fed by the North Canadian River and the Canton Reservoir in Blaine county. It has a surface area of some 4 square miles (10 square km) and a maximum depth of about 94 feet (29 metres) and is connected to Lake Overholser, another reservoir, by a narrow canal at its southwest corner.
