ProCon’s 2025 Summer School is a perfect way for students and nonstudents alike to complete a rewarding summer project. Learn about diverse social and cultural issues while honing your critical thinking skills. Upon successfully finishing the program, you can receive a certificate of completion, which can be used on résumés, college applications, and more to demonstrate your summer productivity.

The program runs between June 1 and August 31.

Rules and Requirements

Read 10 Debates

To complete the program, you must read the following 10 ProCon debates:

Take the 10 Assessment Quizzes

After reading each debate, take the related assessment quiz. A perfect score—8 correct answers to the 8 questions in each quiz—must be achieved. The quizzes may be taken as many times as necessary to reach that score.

Once you receive a perfect score on a quiz, screenshot the final score sheet that says, “Congrats! 8/8 questions.” You will need a screenshot of all 10 perfect scores to complete the program. (Screenshotting your score is easiest on a smartphone, but for instructions on how to capture screenshots on any device, see PCMag.)

Complete the Summer School Survey

After reading the 10 debates and achieving a perfect score on the 10 related quizzes, take the required Summer School Survey to see how learning alternative views on these various issues affected your perception of these topics.

When you reach the end of the questions, check the box that says, “Send me a copy of my responses via email.” You will need a copy of the survey to complete the program. Then click “Done.”

Submit Your Results

Once you have read the 10 debates, received a perfect score on the 10 related quizzes, and taken the required Summer School Survey, email us at [email protected] with “Summer School Completion” as the subject line. Your email should include 11 attachments:

  • 10 screenshots of your perfect scores on the 10 quizzes
  • 1 completed Summer School Survey (the one emailed to you upon completing the survey)

Deadline for submitting your completion email is August 31.

Certificate of Completion

Once we have received your email and confirmed that all requirements for the program have been met, we will email your certificate of completion to you.

Email us at [email protected] with any questions.

Enjoy the program!
